    Fitness Concept

It was my dad’s childhood dream to build his dream home when he retired. Now that he has all his dreams came true, this also meant living in a house with his own private two-car, mechanical door garage with an adjacent gym, something you rarely see in Malaysia. My dad has always been one to break the rules and that particular genetic influence came barging through my genetic makeup but that for another story. We were staying in KL for the longest time. Our house was practically five minutes away from Mid Valley so we would call Mid Valley our Read more [...]

    Kenanga Mall

Well, Kenanga Mall is famous of buying cheap in bulk order (or no minimum order). Probably this is the best place for you to get good deal for boutique in Golden Triangle area. Kenanga Mall is a huge building and it can be easily reached from Hang Tuah LRT and Monorail station. It is a place that gets you A-Z for clothes and accessories like bag and footwear. You might want to visit its large food court on level 7 to get pretty decent food like roasted chicken rice and simple Malaysian style of noodles. However, it is quite hard Read more [...]

    Mid Valley Megamall

This is possibly the best mix of stores of the malls I’ve wandered around Kuala Lumpur. Ā Most of the stores seemed to be mid-range, although there are several lower-cost and higher-end stores mixed in. Ā There is some themed clustering of shops — based on what they’re selling — but in general things seemed to be mixed, which I like when I’m wandering. Ā This is also one of the few malls in which I’ve noticed an “Aeon” department store, which looks like it’s got a wide variety and good prices. Mid-Valley is a very large mall, but — compared to so Read more [...]

    IOI City Mall

This mall might not be a stone’s throw away from home but it’s worth checking out. The name is rather confusing, so don’t accidentally drive up to the Puchong one. Their cinema is brand new so expect state of the art screens and uber comfortable chairs, so happy with that! One more thing I love about this mall is that they have H&M, but they also have H&M home which is so rare. The only other place you can get it is Avenue K, so far. You will also be spoilt for choice when it comes to food. They have Read more [...]

    The Mines

I was impressed by the turn over of The Mines Shopping Center in these few years. To be honest, I have not been to The Mine more than two years. And finally, yesterday night Danny and I went there to buy something and we realised that it was no longer the mall that we have in mind. I never thought it was so crowded. Remember that the previous visit to The Mines was not really great. It was not well-maintained and it was a sunny day. The shopping mall itself was so hot! And now, it is totally different. I Read more [...]

    Alamanda Shopping Centre

It was my first time traveling to Putrajaya for a work assignment and I had to parked at Alamanda Shopping Centre because the hotel parking (where the event was held) was already full. I expected the parking rates for Alamanda to be at a premium rate, but I was wrong. It was only RM2 for the first two hours and subsequently is RM1 per hour. Not bad I thought. After the event, I had a stroll in the mall and took a pit stop at the toilets. That was when I had quite a shock. As I was about to Read more [...]

    Ikea Food Court

Believe it or not this was the first time I’ve been to IKEA even though I’ve been living in KL few years time. There are so many people do shoppings and queued at the cashier counters although it’s Tuesday morning… What picked my interest was its mini food court outside the cashiers which located at the ground floor. It sells only a few snacks and refreshment such as doughnut, curry puff, sausage bun, salmon ball, coffee, tea, drinking water and ice cream (that’s all!), but there can be a long queue for those foods! So I followed the queue, ordered Read more [...]
