Masjid Putra in Putrajaya is one of the most beautiful mosques in Malaysia. And it is also a must go place for tourist. I have been there a few times, to perform prayer and bring my Japanese friend to visit the place.
Putrajaya itself is a very big place. So make sure you have googled the place before you go or else you will end up lost. Masjid Putra is located at Precint 3.It has a lot of parking spaces and very convenient with a restaurant nearby.
Normally non muslim is not allowed to enter the mosque. But Masjid Putra has been the tourist attraction so they allowed non muslim and foreigner to enter and see the place with a few regulations. For the woman you need to cover your hair and body, they provide jubah ( Muslimah dress ) and scarf. And the man also must dress up properly.T here are certain carpet area you can go with shoe off .Cannot make noise to respect people who is praying.
The architecture is so, so beautiful. The dome is so high and Arabic character khat is nicely craved on the wall. Too beautiful and peaceful! You must go and see yourself!
