We stumbled upon this place as we were on a road trip. It’s Fantastic and the employees were all very kind and friendly!! It was a hot day and as soon as we stepped foot into the store the lady asked us if we were hungry and directed us around back to order food. We enjoyed 2 grass fed Berger’s with bacon & goat cheese with a side of yummy & simple slaw.
We also tried the BBQ oysters that were very good, a local beer on tap and a lemonade. There were planets of shaded tables with family’s and animals all enjoying themselves. Clean bathrooms. It was a great quick eats with quality food. Before we left we stopped inside for a sweet treat and some drinks for the road! This place was great!!!!
I kinda missed this place after moving away so it was nice to stop off and see some of the improvements. The exterior yards have been cleaned up a lot and the whole vibe of the place is looking quite spruced up.
Their outdoor BBQ shack and music venue are looking really nice. I can see why it continues to be such a great place to stop. And nearby campers have got to be loving the convenience of having such great food right across the street!
Inside the store, you can get food to go at the deli, pick up your on the road refreshment needs, and even shop for a souvenir or two! And never don’t forget your Brownie of Unusual Size!
Only issues are that their bathroom scene has always been a bit sketchy, and of the 3 delicious Breakfast Burritos I’ve had there, one was cold in the middle.
But, if you’re driving through NorCal and see a sign for the Peg House… be sure to stop and check it out!
